At long last, we are launching the PVEA Website. As you use this Website, you will notice that there are sections for PVEA Members Only. (You should have received an indication of this in your ConnectMe email, with directions from our PVEA Webmaster, Barry Doyle, on how to access these areas for MEMBERS’ EYES only!

This Website allows for immediate postings by the PVEA Officers, with accompanying blogging capabilities by Members. This information can and will include information regarding Public Policy and Political Action, which is not allowed on the PVUSD Computer System. Also, I will be posting information here regarding all aspects of PVEA including a variety of media.

Below, you can view an Informational Vodcast on the Surplus Draft and “what” it is actually like if you are a teacher identified as Surplus. This is never an easy process, and hopefully this video will assist in explaining the three “rounds” of the Surplus Draft: the Lateral Round, the Non-Lateral Round, and the Specific Individual Placement (which in only utilized in very specific situations with very individual certifications.)
